For Homeschool Parents
Want to teach your child to read using UFLI Foundations — but not sure where to start?
You have the manual. You've watched the videos. But without a clear system, it's hard to know which lesson your child should be on, whether you're moving at the right pace, or how to structure your day around reading instruction.
This course gives homeschool parents a practical, step-by-step system for:
- Finding your child's starting point using a simple assessment — no teaching degree required
- Building a 30-minute daily reading routine that covers phonics, fluency, and comprehension in one structured block
- Using data to guide your decisions so you always know what to teach next and when to move forward
- Expanding to a 60-minute block when your child is ready for writing, word study, and independent reading
- Tracking progress with simple tools so you can see growth and adjust instruction with confidence
Whether you're brand new to UFLI, starting over after a rough first attempt, or looking for a more structured approach to homeschool reading — this course was designed for you.
Created by a reading specialist with 25+ years of experience. Built for parents who want to do it right.
Introducing the 30/60 Reading Blueprint
The 30/60 Reading Blueprint is a structured, data-driven instructional framework built on UFLI Foundations and the Science of Reading. It's designed to work anywhere reading is taught — at the kitchen table, in the classroom, or across an entire school.
At its core, the system is built around two powerful blocks:
- A 30-minute whole group lesson that delivers explicit, systematic phonics instruction along with fluency and comprehension — every single day
- A 60-minute personalized block for one-on-one teacher-student conferencing, targeted practice, and data-driven adjustments that meet every learner exactly where they are
Whether you're a homeschool parent teaching one child, a classroom teacher managing 25 readers, or a school leader building consistency across grade levels — the 30/60 Blueprint gives you a clear, repeatable system that takes the guesswork out of reading instruction.
No more piecing it together on your own. Just a proven framework that works.
Meet Your Instructor
Jennifer Cimini, M.S. Ed. is a licensed reading specialist with over 25 years of experience teaching in K–5 general education and special education classrooms.
She holds advanced training in the Science of Reading, UFLI Foundations, and structured literacy instruction. Jennifer has helped hundreds of teachers and families implement evidence-based reading systems that get real results.
She created the 30/60 Reading Blueprint because she kept hearing the same thing — from parents, teachers, and school leaders alike: "I have the tools, but I don't have a system."
This course is her answer — a clear, structured framework that gives you the confidence to teach reading the right way, whether you're at the kitchen table, in a classroom, or leading a school-wide initiative.
For Educators
Already using UFLI Foundations in your classroom? This course will help you take it further.
You know structured literacy works — but implementing it across an entire classroom of readers at different levels, within a packed school day, takes more than a manual.

- Assessing students quickly to pinpoint exactly where each reader is in the UFLI scope and sequence
- Delivering a powerful 30-minute whole group lesson that builds phonics, fluency, and comprehension for every student
- Using data to personalize instruction through 60-minute teacher-student conferencing sessions tailored to individual needs
- Tracking progress and adjusting instruction so no student gets stuck or left behind
- Integrating fluency, comprehension, and word study seamlessly into your literacy block
Whether you're a Title I interventionist, a special educator building IEP-aligned instruction, or a classroom teacher looking for a structured system that actually works — this course was designed for you.

For Schools
Looking for a scalable, research-based system to strengthen literacy instruction across your building?
Your teachers have the curriculum. They may even have UFLI Foundations on the shelf. But without a consistent instructional framework, implementation looks different in every classroom — and student outcomes reflect it.
This course provides school leaders, literacy coaches, and instructional teams with a unified system for:
- Building a consistent 30-minute whole group literacy lesson across classrooms, grade levels, and interventionists
- Training teachers to use data for personalized instruction through 60-minute teacher-student conferencing sessions that meet every learner where they are
- Creating a common language around structured literacy so coaching conversations, walkthroughs, and PLCs are aligned
- Using assessment data to drive decision-making at the classroom, grade-level, and building level
- Supporting new and veteran teachers alike with a clear, repeatable instructional routine that reduces planning overwhelm
Whether you're a principal rolling out a new literacy initiative, a reading coach supporting implementation fidelity, or a district team building capacity across multiple schools — this course gives your staff the tools and training to make structured literacy work at scale.
